We Rise – Open Thought Vortex

Categories Life, Self

At this time of year we think of new life and fresh starts. The idea of resurrection can be seen and felt all around us.

I’m excited to have this piece up on Open Thought Vortex Magazine today with my thoughts on the ways we rise over and over again. Hop over and check it out, then visit OTV all month for more great posts on this theme!

Lisa A. Listwa is a self-employed writer with experience in education, publishing, and the martial arts. Believing there was more to life than punching someone else’s time clock and inspired by the words of Henry David Thoreau, she traded her life as a high school educator for a life as a writer and hasn’t looked back. She is mother to one glorious handful of a daughter, wife to the nicest guy on the planet, and reluctant but devoted owner of three Rotten Cats. You can find her adventures and thoughts on living life deliberately here on the blog.

  1. Beautifully written piece, Lisa! Your grandpa was a smart cookie!
If we didn’t have bad times in our lives, then we wouldn’t recognize the good ones.

    1. Thank you, Dyanne. Yeah, he was a smart cookie. I miss him every day.
The bad stuff certainly has a way of making us appreciate what is good.
