Remembering Those Who Served

In honor of all who served…we offer our love and thanks.

1369709758789[1]Yesterday at church, Zilla learned how to sing the refrain of “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” She loved it. I loved watching her sing at the top of her little lungs and thought of how much my Grandfather, a Battle of the Bulge Veteran, would have loved that.

Today, we enjoyed a good old-fashioned Memorial Day cookout with family. Kidzilla requested steak, grilled perfectly by the Fab Dad, and corn on the cob. We added a terrific potato salad that I dug up this week on Pinterest, where else? Nothing like the classics…

Best of all, we spent time together with those we love.
